At Bryant Dental we believe that the working distance of the loupes should be configured to suit you exactly. The tools should be designed to fit the clinician rather than the other way around!

Working distance is affected by numerous factors including:

  • Limb length.

  • Torso height.

  • Height of operator stool when adjusted correctly to suit you.

  • Height of patient chair when adjusted correctly.

  • Type of loupes used: Refractive loupes typically have a 4-8cm increased working distance to regular loupes because the head and body are more upright.

  • Positioning of the head and neck in optimal ergonomic position (your Product Specialist will guide you through this in a demo).

As a general rule of thumb, the taller you are the higher your working distance.
